Why Bare-Hand™ Netting?

Unbeatable performance

Knitted bird netting has replaced the old, abrasive extruded netting as the most popular way to FlavorGard™ vineyards throughout the world. Why?

  • Supple, pliable material that drapes neatly and is easy on grapes & workers' hands
  • Rip-stop construction prevent tears from spreading
  • Center and Spacing Stripes™ make fast, accurate application easy!

Why is it called Bare-Hand™ Bird Netting?

As a field crew was getting ready to install our bird netting for the first time, the workers all stopped to put on heavy leather gloves. Steve Tillmann, our Director of Research &Development, asked them why they needed gloves. They said they always wore gloves to install their old extruded net. In fact, each worker wore out several pairs of leather gloves per season! Steve told the guys to leave their gloves in the truck and apply the net with their bare hands. They could not believe how easy our net was to work with...

Easy on Hands = Easy on your Grapes!
